Roy Lauritsen

When creating the artwork, the elements are being chosen carefully to make the final picture. The final artwork will represent in a beautiful , rich and colorful range – all kind of different motives and themes, from movie stars, sports, culture, city life and the four seasons.

Roy is self taught and with his sense for design and use of color he like to tell stories with his work.

In a more commercial aspect Roy also creates artwork in close cooperation with his clients, to customize the art to fit perfectly. He works with many different medias, from print on paper, print on aluminum, glass or oversized wall paper.

His work includes art decoration of hotel rooms, restaurants and public instances in Norway and the rest of Europe. Roy has been chosen to decorate art on acrylic in all cabins onboard the Allure of the seas. He has sold his work to a wide range of clients also including Oslo Town hall. In competition with other artists his work was chosen for the athletics honour price for gold, silver and bronze medalist in the world championship during 2008 and 2009. His work has also been given to Aksel Lund Svindal (Norwegian alpinist). He has also participated in different contests, along with other artist from Europe and won the competition to decorate SAS blue in Hamburg.

In the recent years Roy has been working with riverboats and cruise ships. He has been the head artist to Viking cruises (the worlds largest riverboat company). He has decorated 42 ships. He has delivered art to RCCL. (Royal Caribbean cruise line) in total 12 ships, cabins, suits and conference. He has also delivered art to big companies in Norway and abroad.
